Would this be the one you guys are talking about, the photo is a bit dodgy so i cant tell what is on the front of itEP.C2 Commodore VL This manual is extremely detailed focused on one model. We have covered the turbo option, engine management on all engine options plus a very detailed chapter on group A Commodores.
Holden body with a Nissan engine, turned out to be a good match, turbo as an option plus V8. Still the European influence but a bigger looking body. (408 pages.). Its pretty good to have all 3 sources, as they all do good.
Asking on the forums is ok, but really you want the info right then and there and most should use initiative to go and learn on their own accord, as it will sharpen your understanding. Sometimes the holden can be too complicated, or they dont provide REAL diagrams but detailed drawings. Each package has their pros and cons.
But together its magic. I find that the max elleries is very pictorial, which is good for starting out. Gregories has hardly any pictures, but is accurate in what they say. Both a good, but they are all spawns of the original holden manuals. If you want NITTY GRITTY, get the holden manauls, you cant go wrong. For those that used the pitstop site, it would have been wise to use the search command or email the owners of the site. Cant expect everything to fall in your lap you know:) search for 'vl commodore' and you will get a listing.
The holden manuals are item no.s: 10644 Holden Commodore VL Vol 1 & 2 Service Manual Holden $6 Holden Commodore VL Vol 3, 4 & 5 Service Manual Holden $120.00 That covers pretty much everything for the VL 6 cylinder nissan NON TURBO. There is a seperate turbo part.

The only problem with the holden manual, is they sometimes make references to other manuals which share similarities, such as brakes:( ie: refer to VB manual CODE. So thats where you get gregories and a max elleries. For a full comprehensive guide to everything VL, cant complain for 400 dollars farken!
